You directed your first short film Generations After last January. How was the experience on

Since Generations After was my first film as an independent filmmaker, the experience was stressful for
me. I kept feeling like I wasn't going to make it. But inadequacy is an insecure of mine that I am learning
to overcome and that experience proves I am capable.

Did you learn anything from the experience?

I learned from that I don't have to have the latest equipment, the biggest crew, or all the experience in
the world. I learned that truly where there’s a will there is a way. With the right encouragement and
support, teamwork really makes the dream work.

I know that you started as a writer, how smooth was the transition to directing?

The transition to directing was not hard at all, as someone who has always been clear about what I
want, always visual and creative, it doesn't take much for me to vocalize it. the issue is communicating
the right terms to the crew. Granted my crew was supporting friends, which made it even more
interesting. I picked up screenwriting as the newer thing.

How do you work to improve your writing on a daily basis?

Writing more. Allowing a group of trusted storytellers to critique, review, and share their thoughts. And

Are you working on anything right now?

We are currently hoping to shoot Generations After 2 by the end of July. alongside a children’s story
called Favor; the executive producer is my 9-year-old niece.

Thank you for your time.

you are welcome. thank you for the opportunity.
